Jennifer Porter is a dedicated dental hygienist, Certified Orofacial Myologist COM®, and clinical examiner with more than 30 years of experience in dental hygiene and professional leadership. Her work is guided by a core belief: restoring healthy oral function can profoundly improve a person’s overall quality of life.

Jennifer Porter provides in-person care throughout Eastern Oregon and offers telemedicine services, making high-quality myofunctional therapy accessible to clients wherever they live.

Her career began by earning her Certificate in Dental Assisting with honors in 1993 and has maintained DANB certification ever since. She continued her education to complete an Associate of Arts degree in 1995, followed by an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene, graduating with honors. She successfully completed the National Dental Hygiene Board Examination as well as the WREB clinical, anesthesia, and restorative examinations.

Driven by a passion for whole-body wellness, she completed her training in Orofacial Myology and joined the International Association of Orofacial Myology in 2020 and achieved her Certified Orofacial Myologist, COM® credential in 2025. In her myofunctional therapy practice, she helps clients of all ages improve breathing, lip posture, oral habits, tongue posture, and muscle balance supporting outcomes such as better sleep, improved facial tone, improved muscle function, more effective chewing and swallowing, reduced strain, and greater confidence. In May of 2025 she completed her training in Buteyko breathing through the Buteyko Clinic International.  Her approach is compassionate, evidence-based, and focused on sustainable, life-changing results.

Her leadership experience spans decades. From 2000–2006, she served the Montana Dental Hygienists’ Association in multiple roles, including President, Delegate, and Board of Dentistry Liaison. She later was appointed by the Montana Governor to serve on the Montana State Board of Dentistry from 2006–2017, including a term as Board President.

Since 2007, she has played a major role within CDCA/WREB/CITA (ADEX testing) as Chief Examiner in anesthesia and clinical hygiene. She also served as an OSCE test development committee member and process of care exam committee chair.

In 2024, she joined the International Association of Orofacial Myology (IAOM) as the Director of Examinations, where she oversees online testing systems, coordinates the Board of Examiners, facilitates test development, prepares exam reports, and supports accreditation-aligned processes.

Outside of her professional work, she is also passionate about youth athletics. She served as Director and Coach of the Big Sky Volleyball Club in Bozeman Montana from 2011–2016 and has spent the past several years as the Head Volleyball Coach at Pilot Rock High School, developing volleyball programs from grade school through high school.

She lives in Eastern Oregon with her husband on their ranch, where she enjoys time with her family, the wide open spaces, the rhythm of rural life, and the balance it brings to her work supporting clients, students, and athletes. Across all areas of her life, she remains committed to one mission: helping people function better, breathe better, and live better—one small change at a time.
